The Bonds of Matrimony Unite 0. U. Stookbarger and Miss Stella Hurt Until Death Do Them Fart.

The wedding of Bev. C. U. Stookbarger and Miss Stella Hurt ooourred in the Methodist ohuroh last] evening at 5:30. The ohuroh was full of friends of the vitally interested persons and it was a pretty ceremony in every rebpect. At the appointed time the wedding march was played by Miss Eliza Harmon and the bridal party came in in two divisions. Down the left aisle came Parker Willis, usher, followed by Misses Zoe Hartshorn, Katie Fullenwider, Marguerite Morgan, Daisy Darter, Mame Wise and Lottie Robinson, members of the B. M. B. olub, also Howard Griffith and Bev. G. W. Switzer, and the bride leaning on the arm of Frank Hurley. Down the right aisle came Bev. H. M.

Middleton, escorted by Albert Buffner, and the groom on the arm of Bolla Hartshorn. The oeremony was impressively performed and at the conclusion the bride and groom and the two ministers repeated the Lord's prayer. The bride was neatly attired in a steel gray silk. Congratulations poured in from all sides until tiain time when the happy pair was taken to the station by the members of the B. ML R. Club They will be in Waynetown until after Sunday, where Mr. Stookbarger will preach morning and evening. They will then leave for Indianapolis, where he it stationed as a Methodist minister. The best wishes of a host of friendB go with them. Mrs. Stookbarger came to this oity about three years ago and entered the high school, graduating with the honors in 1889. She was a general favorite with all, and especially in the B. M.'B. olub, of which she was a mem bor. Bev. O. U. Stookbarger graduated from Wabash College with the class of and hassinoebeen in Orawfordsville most of the time ao he ia well known here. Laat year he entered- the Methlint ministry and ia now the pastor of a thriving' yonnf congregation at

Haughville, near Indianapolis.

Charles 8. Hammond,' of Greenoaatle Knooks the Peiaimmon, Charles S. Hammond, the member of the Republican State Central Committee from the Fifth District, has been appointed Supervisor for' the Fourth Census District, whioh includes this county. His headquarters are at Gr6en castle. Those who deaire to be enumerators will Address him at that plaoe. It will be aieong his first duties to divide the district into as many subordinate divisions as maybe neoessary, so that' the enumeration when it is made next June may be iniade within the prescribed time, which is three weeks. The Supervisor will furnish the enumerators he appoints all needful information and printed blanks.- The compensation -of an enumerator will be: In ordinary distriots, 2 oents for eaoh living inhabitant counted 2 oents for each death, IIS oents for eaoh farm, and 20 oents for eaoh establishment of productive industry. The pay must not, in any case, be less than 83 a day or more than $6. It is not known, but it will probably require about forty enumerators for this oounty. Frightened at a Mile Post.

On Thursday of the' fair last Septemfer John L. Hodges, of Sugar Creek township, started to oome to town but when he oame to the thirteenth mile post his horse frightened at it and injured himself so badly that he had to be killed. The sign post belonged to Con Cunningham and now oomes Mr. Hodges and sues Mr. Cunningham foij 8150. The esse was to have been tried yesterday, but a flaw in the oomplaint caused it to be delayed until the next term of oourt.
