Jload Receipts will not be taken in payment for Second Installment of Taxes. The annual Sale of Delinquent Lands and Lots will take place on the Second Monday in February, 1900. Examine your receipts before leaying the office and see that all your property is described. PARTICULAR ATTENTION. Those who have lands and lots, or other property in more than one township, must see that they have a receipt for all. COUNTY WARRANTS are subject to Delinquent tax. HARKO DSBUKG ITEMS' Hon. Ed Adams, of Nebraska, is visiting his mother-in-law, Mrs. Mary A. Strain. Anza Johnson, a sixteen year old son of Robert Johnson, living a few miles south-wesst of town was buried on Monday. A number of young people have been Attending dances in the neighborhood this winter. A revision of the church books in town should be the order now, as some of the dancers are members. Miss Amy Mathes spent Sunday and Monday with relatives in Bedford. Prof. Ray and daughters, Bertha and Truly, spent last Saturday at Alex. Strains, north of town. Bert Clay and wife visited at E. F. Walker's, near Lipthicum chapel last Sunday. ' Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Kinser and Dr, A. W. Hon spent Monday at U. H. Hoa in Bloomington. has a boy with a gun nailed to a tree as a warning to pedestrains to "keep off the grass." Dick Hays took possession of the Holmes livery stable Monday. A birthday party surprised Mrs. Sallie Crum Monday evening. A large crowd was in attendance with baskets tilled with good things to eat. The poetical editors of the New Idea and Hustler have been spining out "poems" a yard long for the last month. We have "Hoosier Poets" right in our midst and not know it. Let your hair grow out boys so we can distinguished you from common folks. Elmer Hainey, a son of E. W. Hainey, and Miss Dobson, daughter of Frank Dobson, were married at Bloomington Wednesday evening. They will be here Saturday. Another one of our citizens will take a trip south Sunday and return with a bride. I will give no names now but the doctor will tell about it when he returns. , J. C. C.

Notice of Application for License The undersigned, a male person over the age of twenty one years, and an inhabitant of Bloomington township, and the county of Monroe and State of Indiana, for the last past two years, hereby gives notice to the citizens of Bloomington and of the First Ward of said city in Bloomington township, in said county of Monroe and the State of Indiana, that he will at the March Tei'm, I9OO, of the Board of Commissioneis of the county of Monroe and State of Indiana, apply to said Board for a license to sell intoxicating, liquors, to-wit: Spiritous. vinous and malt hquors,in less quantities than five gallons it a time and in less quantises than a quartatatirae.foraperiodof one year, with the privilege of allowing the same to be drank on the premises where sold; the said premises upon which he desires to sell said spiritous. vinous and malt liquors are situated in the First Ward of said city of Bloomington, in Bloomington township, Monroe county, State of Indiana, and described as follows, to-wit: In the first story fronting the street and on the ground floor of the onestory brick building located pn a part of in-lot one hundred and thirty (130), in the city of Bloomington, Bloomington township and county of Monroe in the State of Indiana, which part of said in-lot is bounded and desci'ibed as follows, to-wit: Beginning fifty (50) feet due south of the northwest corner of said lot, thence running south twenty-two (23) feet, thence running east fifty (50) feet, thence running north twenty-two (22) feet, thence running west fifty (50) feet to the place, of beginning. Perry, deceased, to appear in the Monroe circuit court, held at Bloomington, Indiana, on the 5th daj of February, 1900,and show cause if any, why the final settlement accounts with the estate of said decedent should not be approved; and said heirs are notified to then and there make proof of heirship, and receive their distributive shares. Washington D. C , Jan. 18, (S. M. T.) A report is circulation here this afternoon that Aguinaldo and body guard of fifty men have been captured, south of Mnniia by Gen. Schwann and are now being taken to Manila. The war department has not received official advices to this effect and the report cannot be confirmed. t - 4 Deputy Auditor Kiser and Col. John T. Bundy are transacting business at Indianapolis.
