Little Expectation That Germany Will BuioT the Cattle Embargo. There is little reason now to expect that the German Government will relax the new order prohibiting the importations of American cattle and fresh beef and probably the matter will so tie down to a question of endurance between German sugar and American beef. Ambassador Kunyan presented Secretary Gresham's protest to the German Foreign Minister and accompanied it with a promise that the President will recommend to Congress an amendment to the sugar schedules of the tariff act in the line of removing the inferential duty which is the cause of the German complaint of discrimination. Anparentlv his representations made liitle impression, for Runran cab'ed that the German Minister disclaimed any idea of retaliation, and assured him the prohibition of our cattle was based solely on sanitary reason?. WoB a FouL The figbt between Jim Daly of Buffalo, and Jack Slavin of Australia, at Buffalo, N. V., was given to Daly, on a foul in the seventh round. The decision was very unsatisfactory. Slavin was finely trained, while Daly was manifestly out of condition. Before the bout began the referee, after consulting both fighters, said it was agreed not to strike any blows in the breakaway after a clinch. This is contrary to 'neensburv rules, under which the men were supposed to light. In the seventh, when Slavin had the best of it, tho referee gave the light to Daly on an alleged foul committed while the men were breaking away alter a clinch. Public Ueht Statement. harmless in all its effects upon the youngest child or the oldest and most delicate individual. Nine-tenths of all the ailments to which the human family is heir are dependent on nervous exhaustion and impaired digestion. When there is an insufficient supply of nerve food in the blood, a general state of debility of the brain, spinal marrow, and nerves is the result. Starved nerves, like starved muscles, become strong when the right kind of food is supplied; and a thousand weaknesses and ailments disappear as the nerves recover. As the nervous 6vstein must supply all
tho power by which the vital forces
first to suffer for want ot perfect nutrition. Ordinary food, does not con
tain a suflicient quantity of the kind of nutriment necessary to repair
the wear our present mode of living
For this reason it becomes necessary that a nerve food bo supplied.
