He loved to be wKhoutforth st all seasons, and rode orer his plantation on a spewy day, when the ground was woozy, which .caused him toenrhenm and febricitate, and then growse. The Application Denied. Indianapolis Sentinel. Judge Baker, on Feb. 26th, heard arguments in the application for the appointment of a receiver for the Bloomington water works. The application was made by
Charles h. Coon of New 1 ork, who holds the promissory note of the water works company people for 3,500. It appears 'that the water works company and tho city of Bloomington are made defendants in the suit, while the property for which it is asked that a receiver be appr inted is in the possession of the contractors who constructed it. Judge Claypool of this city and Attorney Duncan of Bloomington appeared for the plaintiff and W. H. H. Miller and Ferd Winter for tho defendants. Judge Baker refused to issue the order appointing the receiver and gave the plaintiff leave to file an amended complaint within fifteen days, and tho defendants leave to respond within fifteen days thereafter. The Judge announced that he regarded the water works property ample to satisfy all the liens on it, and where such a condition existed he did not believe a receiver should be appointed.
