Several of the plato glass in the second story of the Bee Hive dry goods store were broken last week by one of the blasts that was tired in the waterworks trench in front of the building. He, with others, had hold of tho drill, which will weigii abo it 500 lbs., and as he fell tho drill' was drawn over upon him as he lay at tho bottom of tho excavation. Tho machine, was removed immediately, but the man was injured to a considerable extent alxait the body and his left arm was fractured. The accident occurred on North Walnut St., just n rth of 7th. Dr. Whitted gave Kcweomb surgical attention, and at last advices he was resting easy.
