INDIANAPOLIS, BLOOMINGTON AND BEDFORD RAILROAD. We have obtained the following information from a reliable source which will certainly lie, very interleslinir readinjr for our patrons. j We Have talked long about it, and now we have it. Articles of association have been filed with the Secretary of State, signed by the required number of men, to Incorporate the Indianapolis, Bloomington & Bedford R. R. company. Those .men ineludo among them a dozen of the wealthiest men of Chattanooga, Tennesj see, who have gone into the enter- ; prise through the eltorts of Newell Sanders. It is understood that certiuu New York parties will also lie interested. The road will carry the stone and other products of the couulry to Indianapolis, to connect with the trunk lines that center there. An engineering corps has lieon surveying a preliminary line for the past three weeks, and will probably reach Bedford this week. They will then extend the line from theobegi lining point near the south lino of Morgan county to Indianapolis. This is the same corps that was here a short time ago. . We learn that a petition will be circulated, asking the county commissioners ':o order an election to vote a ta:, in the townships through which the road will pass. If our citizens want another road now is the time to say so. These men mean business. The matter has been long considered, and with the propel encouragement the rord will soon bo in course f construction. The following will bo tho petit jm-y: John E. Butcher, A. J. Robinson, Laf a3Tette Fulf ord, David Burkhart, James A. Sexton, Elijah Hancock, Edward Jackson, Richard Butcher, James Kerr, Patrick O'Donnell, Frank Dobson, Jackson Lampkins. While accidents and belated j trams have teen the rule on many ranroads this winter, the "Monon" has been remarkably free from any misfortune worthy the name. Miss Laura Wilson of Bod ford is visiting Miss Mary Lindley, on west 8th street. II. O. Axtell and wife of North College Avenue have been entertaining Mrs. Allison " and Mrs. Castlen of Sponccr. It is- shown that $7,000 worth of lots have been sold in Kenwood, at the north end of College Avenue, during the past; three weeks. This shows that tho property is desirable. Luther Grimes bought two lots in Kenwood for $700, and W. W. Spanglor paid $1,(500 for seven acres al the north end of the tract.
