The next President of the United States will be nominated in a Republican Convention which will meet at Minneapolis on the 7 th of June. Two weeks thereaf ter that is to say, on the 21st of June the Democrats will, at Chicago, name the man to be beaten by the Minneapolis Candidate. The chair factory plant, just north of Showers Brou. furniture factory,' has changed hands. Onehalf of it was owned by Showers Bros., and the other hall' has been purchased from S, C. Dinlds. It is un derstood that the manufacture ofj furniture will be conducted in the old chair factory aud a quantity of the latest machinery will be purchased at ouoe for it, and a dry kiln will be added. The newly arranged establishment will do business under the name of the "North End Furniture Co.," aud it will be placed in charge of Chas. T, Showers, a competent young business man. Chicago, with its usual good luck, gets the Democratic National Convention, although cot an applicant for it. The time fixed for holding the convention is June 21st just two weeks after tbe Republican National Convention meets in Minneapolis. A young man named Roberta, who came to Bloomington iu September with a stock of stationery and books which he placed in the express office room, ha made an assignment to Ed. Corr.
