Cheap ilannel, with comparatively open mahs, is preferable, as the water easily dniiw through it, and tbe loo U thus kept volts dry. When good flannel with cloai texture la euployed, a small hole must, be n-ao in the bottom of the flannel cup, otherwise it holds the water, aad facilitates tba melting of the lea, which la, nevertheless, preserved much longer than in the naked cup or tumbler.
