If this were done it would prevent the stood of dust that are now so annoying to every one except those who are instrumental in raising them, and to a great extent might deter persons from driving rapidly and recklessly on the streets of the public square. These streets are sadly in need of a coating of broken stone, as they were very much- worn by the heavy rams of the past winter aad the hauling of heavy loads oyer them. The broken stone seems at present the only solution of this dost problem, and it sbouid be dis cussed ami considered. Use of tub Dust Swallowcbs. Mrs. A. R. Ou Saturdey Fred. Bona, a student, was before the Mayor ebargeditb riding on the sidewalks, an affidavit having been sworn out against him. Mayor Case did not fine the Joung gentleman, who stated he new nothing of the law, and it is probaffly unknown to others. The case is intended for a warning to wheelmen and hereafter violations will be fined. It will be well to heed this example. Greencastle Banner. OBITUARY. Dr. James G. SIum died at hii real, denes, in Terra Haute, the morning of the 2 1st of Aprlaged 39 years, 10 month and S days. Louis Munson, a graduate of I. whose home was in Mitchell, Xnd., died
in Arlington, Calif., last week, with hemorrhage from the lungs, while waiting for the Presidential train. Mr. Munson was a brilliant young man.
