Among many others might be mentioned a gold vase of rare workmanship, aad a purs of gold from the Professors; a purse of gold from the. Presbyterian congregation ; silver nut !awlt lined with gold from MrsJohn Me dia, and Mr. Redlek Wylie; a silver cake basket mounted with sold, from Mr. R.J. Black and her daughter, Marcaret Wylie Black, of Philadelphia ; a diver butter dish from Mrs. Fee; silver cream pitcher, Misses Emma and Liuie Dennis; a gold thimble from Mrjind Mrs. M. J. Smith; six silver gill salt collars from Mrs Cornell and Riobard Speak, & ansa ; oiaen weem,rrom Mrs. Hanaro ill, Cbicaffo: PhotoxTaph Case, from Mas. An interesting feature of the entertain ment was the presence of Mr. James Se ward, who played seme piece of music which he bad performed at the receiition given to Professor Wylieand hi youthful bride on tnetr nrst coming to Bloom ington, fifty year ago. Of all tha company of performers on that occasion, Mr. Se ward alone remains- in Hloomington. A number of fine looking young men in uni. form, constituting the Mechanic Band,, added to the interest of tbe festivities by some excellent music At a seasonable hour the guests bad de parted, and the ceremonies of the occa sion bad terminated, nil uniting in best wishes for the welfare and happiness of their honored friends.
