THE NO KIN BBS. Wm. T. Buaib", the nominee for County Auditor, is a graduate of I.

S. U., was for several years a sales

man with W. Allen, and after

wards begun business for himself m

a boot snd shoe dealer. Blair ia an active worker at the polls, and has bad much to do -with swelling Republican majorities ia the past. He

was elected a member of the Board

of School Trustee i this spring, wit fa-

out any solicitation on his part, and

the nomination for Auditor came to him unsought, and so places bim in a more favorable light before the voters of the county. Blair is a representative' young Republican,

competent, honeet, and a hustler.

The Democrats will nominate John

Sherlock or Ab. Dowden, and Blair

will defeat their oandidate whoever

he may be.

Thomas Fab b, or "Tom Farr,"

M he ia familiarly called by his

many warm friends, is a citizen of

Washington tp., where he has re

sided 23 years. Before he wm 18 years of age Tom enlisted in the 33d Ind. Vols., find was assigned

to fju. ii. lie was tn the service three years aad one month, and in that tim participated in

seventeen engagements, and was

captured snd Urown into Lthby

jrrison wnere so many gaiiani men were incarcerated. His first vote

wm cast in Monroe county, and he

has always been an active, reliable

and working Republican. Tom

rarr has a general acquaintance in

Monroe countv. and he is resitected

and well liked by all with whom he has come in contact. .Marion

Hinkle will hand over the keys to

Tom after the Novemlier election,

and don t you forget it.

Db. Jas. H. GasfOn, who was

renominated for Treasurer,1 was a

former resident of Stanford, in Van Buren tp. Dr. Gaston was a private soldier, and belonged to the

43d regiment Ind. Vol. Infantry, and .while doing gallant service in

one of the battles of 1863, his right arm was- literally shot to pieoes, aod now bangs aluot useless at bis side.

Dr. Gaston wm always a true Re

publicanan active, self-sacrificing

Democrat with no small amount of

nerve to tackle Gaston : he hasn't
