Nobby surra, neat-fitting and handsome, are turned out daily by Ben. McGee, the Artist Tailor, at his emporium of fashion, on the south side of the public square. A peculiarity of MoGee's suits is that while they fit snugly to the form, as if moulded, they are perfectly easy no, binding or sensation of drawing. In fact, they have the peculiarity of all proper-fitting clothes : you are unconscious of the fact that you have them on yonr person, and so don't feel constrained and uncomfortable as is the case with the clothes cut by many Tailors. then only by the most skillful

John Neeld and family were
shaken up by a stroke of lightning,
at their farm house four miles west
of town Wednesday evening. The
weather-boarding was blackened as if powder burnt, and the family are glad that the result was no worse. Mr. Ben. F. Butler (colored) has for some time been carrying on
an extensive grocery business in the
vicinity of the ehair factory, without competition, but Mr. Fallowcll,
of Brown county is preparing to put in a choice stock of godlls, and Ben. Butler will have to hustle if he keeps up with him. On Sunday morning, in the Christian church, Prof. Atwater read an historical account of the growth and success of that denomination in Bloomington during its existence here. The historical facts were carefully gathered, and blended in a pleasing and instructive manner. The church is strong, vigorous and growing rapidly, with one of the best church properties in the town, and is out of debt. There have been fifty-eight additions to the membership in the past six months. A groat many people will take occasion while in Bloomington on
the 4th to lay in a stock of groceries. They ought always to make it a point to get the best and at the same time try to get the mast for
theeir money. There is one place in this town where that can be done every time, and that is at Jon Alexander's (D'tnn & Co.'s old stand). This store is near the depot, and carries the biggest, best, choicest, cheapest stock in Bloomington. Your good money is worth good goods, and as Joe Alexander keeps no other kind you cab make no mistake by going there anytime. Better lay in a supply on the 4th of July.
