Robertson Graham, one of the pioneers of this county, being 90 years old, is expected to die at any moment. He is at the residence of John Stipp, south of town. P. S. On Suuday evening Mr. Graham died from old age. He had no disease, just slept his life away. He was one of the earliest settlers of Monroe county, and had owned and sold a great deal ot ieal estate in his time. He built the Hunter corner, where Davis' tailor
shop now is, and kept hotel in the

had drilled a hole in a ledge and oharered it with powder and fuse.
As is sometimes the case, the charge
did not ignite, and Gillespie, without wettims the charge, begun to
drill it out. After several strokes
of the drill the charge exploded,

he was at once conveyed to Dr,
Maxwell's office where his injuries were dressed. He will lose his right eye, but aside from surface
injuries about the face and ou oue arm, the wounds are not of a serious nature. His father, Rev. Thus. Gillespie, lives in Washington, tp., though he- haa relations iu EiUttsville, to which place he was taken Wednesday.
