Mrs. Mary Roddy, widow of

Joseph Roddy, died with consumption on Thursday night of last week, at tbe Harbison homestead, nesr Wood Yard, four miles west of Bloomington. Mrs. Koddy has been sick two years or more, and her death was expected months before it occurred. She was a daughter of Samuel aad Mary Harbison,

and her aire about 48 years. She

leaves two children, a boy and girl,

aged respectively 17 and 13 years. The funeral services were held at

the house on Friday morning, and

tbe remains deposited in the public

burying ground. Mn. Linie Dunn,

nee Harbison, of Louisville, with

her husband, and Mr. Carnahan of

Looirootee. were nresent at the fu-

Mr. Curry Ewing, a lumber

dealer of Indianapolis, died sad

denly from heart disease, on Tues

day of last week, and the remains

were brought to Bloomington on
