Negotiations have been in progress the past few days, looking towards the purchase of Chris.. A mac from Brown county, with his family on their way to Arkansas, paissing through town the other clay, reported that one hundred families have left that county in the last six months for different points iu the west. If theru is anything perfectly entrancing tn this cold world of sorrow, it is a whispering, giggling, male or female in church or other public meetings. We kuow some females, between the ages of twelve and twenty-five, who imagine themselves of the "upper crust," "hightoned," "top of the pot," etc., and who would like to impress the community with the same sentiment, who have succeeded in becoming objects of public notice.
