It is a fearful tale in all its aspects ; the baste to be rid of the body, the indctvnt rolicking over the corpsi;. ami lastly, the dreadful, horrible culmination. Some days ago a colored man named Andrew Dow died, or, as was only too well afterwards ascertained, fell into a state of absolute coma. The relatives and irieit Is made great lamentation over the body, filling the air with their cries. Aliur a while the usual offices were performed to the body ; it was washed, dressed, and laid out with decently composed limbs and closed t ' -. It was a subject of frequent remark, "How natural poor Andy lo iked just as if he was asleep." And so he was ; literally asleep.onJy to ) soon to awaken into a stiHing, struggling life. A Terrible Death in Sullivan County. The Sullivan Democrat says:! Early on last Monday morning Mr. R J. Mullen, who lives a mile or two cast of Currysville, started on horse back to ride to the school of! which he is teacher, and at an unfrequented point of the road his horse slipped and fell on Mr. MeXUillen, breaking his leg. In his helpless condition he lay there and froze to dea.h undiscovered ! Mr. McMulleu was a man of about 'itry-five or sixty years of age. Me was a quiet, unobtrusive gentleman, possessing a cultivated mind, and loved by all who knew him. He had lived in our county for twelve or fifteen yens. He leaves a wife, but had no children we believe.

serioii'! sickness and siijfering is prevented hy their timelv use; and every family should have thcm'on hand for their protection and relief, when re'iuired. Loiir experience has proved them to lie the safest, surest, ami best of all the I'il.t with which the market abounds. Ily their occasional use, the blood is piiriticil, tho corruptions of the system expelled, obstruction removed, and the whole machinery of life restored to its healthy activity. Internal organs which become clogged and sluKRish are cleansed by Ayer's 1'UJb, and stimulated into action. Thus incipient disease, is changed into health, the value of which change, whim reckoned on the vast multitudes who enjoy it, can hardly be com puteil. Their sugar-coating makes tliem pleasant to take, and preserves their virtues unimpaired for any length or time, so that they are ever fresh, and perfectly reliable.
