700 cases of small-pox are reporUtl

spreading and is unusually fatal, can
not be denied A petition h is been presented to the Legislature, asking that the divorce law be so amended as to make infidelity t'.ic only legal plea for dissolving t!;ie marriage tie. It is well enough to amend the existing law so that a non-resident may not come to Indiana and procure a divorce without sufficient notice or residence, but aside from that, the law is well enough as it stands. If any change is made, it should be to make divorce still easier of procurement. There are men who are idiotically drunk from the 1st of January till the 31st of December, a disgrace to their families and a burden on society, supported not infrequently by the labor of the wife. There should be no barrier to divorce in carscs like this. Judge Woolen, a former Common Pleas Judge of this District, held, and with reason too, that where bot!.i parties came to him praying for u divorce, that fact alone was sufficient to justify him in granting fhe petition. However,
