How is This ? Mr. Robinson, Circuit Prosecutor, and Candidate on the Democratic State Ticket for Reporter of the Supreme CourM came to Bioomington last week, made a speech, remained in 'Jotirt a day or two, and than appointed a voting attorney from Martinsville, Ambrose Cunning, as his Deputy ! Among the many talented Democratic lawyers of Bioomington, Mr. Robinson could find none fit to lake his place as Prosecutor! Yet he will have the cheek to ask these Bioomington attorneys to vote for him and work for the success of the ticket, which of course is necessary to the election of Mr. Robinson. It is rumored that should Greeley be elected, Judge Swaar, of Mitchell, is to bo made Postmaster at Indianapolis. Je-ru-.sti-Iem P. L. D. Mitchell, the celebrated pcach-cultnri.st, has had unusual luck with his peach crop. He has, so far, shipped about one thousand bushels, and at presont is realizing about $1.50 per bushel net. He Is a 'coii and brilliant essayist; an in-ck-ive imd srpr.rklhtg writer of English, and a eireful and cxbuustivo searcher after facn. He does not touch a pen to paper in she .onipi'sition et a boolc, till the entire fioli of investigation has been exploited, and overvthfng diroctly or indirectly bonrinj; on his theuie thi roughly digested. Iti nrspnring tlds work, ho spent several months in visiting the town where Mr. Gri -eloy was horn and the various places wbiiro he snbserU?iitly lived, collecting all the information about hit. early life that it
