Jin effort is also bein.5 made to establish a school, in which the German language is to be taught. A good school and live church organization, will have a tendency to bring many Germans into Monroe com ty, and as they are invariably industrious, economical and law-abiding, this effort upon the part of the handful in our midst from Faderland, should receive sympathy and practical (pecuniary if need be) encouragement. Twenty or thirty German farmers would make a vasi; increase in our agricultural prospDrity. They till every square inch of soil, in Germany, where land is not so cheap nor so readily obtained as in America, and they bring their habits of close, ci.reful cultivation with them. !!CCial Notice Call and see oie of tile largest stocks o::' Drug and Fancy Goods ever brought to Bioomington, at Sh ;emaker & Co's.
