Connection Why you just can’t find good homes for every one
Do you believe you aren’t adding to the pct overpopulation problem if you find good homes for all your pet’s puppies and kittens? Then consider this: Suppose there are 10 families in your community that want puppies and can provide good homes for them, but there are 15 puppies who need good homes. When each of the 10 families take a puppy, there will be five “leftover” puppies who have no future except humane euthanasia. Then suppose you let your dog have a litter of five puppies. THERE ARE now 20 puppies in the community who need good homes ... but still only 10 good homes available. Even if you manage to place every one of your five puppies with one of the 10 available homes, there will still be 10 leftover puppies where before there were only five.

Cello/piano recital set at DPU Saturday Lawrence University (Appleton, Wis.) music professors Janet Anthony (cello) and Theodore Rehl (piano) will present a guest recital in the Thompson Recital Hall of the DePauw University Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. THE PROGRAM, including works by Beethoven, Prokofieff, Faure, and Martinu, is open to the public and admission is free. Cellist Janet Anthony has concertized throughout the United States and Europe. She recently returned from a concerto tour of Spain, where she was featured on Spanish National Television and National Radio broadcasts. In this country, she is a frequent performer on Wisconsin Public Radio and has been heard on National Public Radio broadcasts. THEODORE REHL is chairman of the piano department at Lawrence University. A native of Ohio, he received his B.M. and M.M. degrees from Oberlin College’s Conservatory of Music and has done advanced study at the University of Southern California and Indiana University.
