I thought it went well. We had an opportunity certainly to say everything we wanted to say,” said Minnesota’s athletic director, Rick Bay. Notre Dame football coach Lou Holtz was among those appearing before the committee, which is expected to issue its findings in three sto six weeks. ; HOLTZ HAS BEENn accused lof three rules violations while he 'was coach at Minnesota in 1984185. *• The allegations stem from charges he gave $250 to a former Gopher player to pay for a correspondence course as well S2OO to . a recruit who lost his wallet during a campus visit There also is an al-

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) Purdue coach Gene Keady lias seen a lot in his 10 years in the Big Ten . Conference. But two things he hasn’t seen are young teams beating experienced ones and home , teams losing very often to visitors. His team will be on the short end on both counts Sunday when Ohio ' State, ranked third in the nation and , first in the Big Ten, hosts the Boilermakers at St. John Arena. “IN THIS LEAGUE, it’s kind of a funny situation. ... You really don’t know how (players) are going ,to react to a particular situation. .You’ve just got to be ready,” Keady says. “If you’ve got veterans, like ' Ohio State has, you’re going to be fn a lot better shape than being a sophomore-junior team. <■ “Ohio State’s got some seniors who have been through it. I think they’ve lost enough that they don’t want that to happen anymore and they’ll be big, big winners.” Ohio State, ranked third in the nation and first in the Big Ten, brings in marks of 17-1 overall and 7-1 in the conference. Purdue is 117 and 3-5. OHIO STATE has only two seniors on its roster, but the five starters have now played together
