Calendar of events Saturday PEO Chapters I and CB will observe founders day at noon Saturday, Sept 16 at the DePauw Union Building. Chapter I will serve as hostess. Bainbridge Saddle Club will have a special Saturday night show at 6 p.m. Sept. 16, rain or shine (all contesting). The regular Sunday show will be at 10 a.m. The next show will be Oct. 14. A Delta Kappa Gamma reception honoring Judith Raybem, newly elected president of Alpha Epsilon State Chapter, will be held 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16 at the DePauw Union Building. Singles will be at Robe-Ann Park in Greencastle Saturday, Sept. 16 at shelterhouse No. 4. Recreation will be at 3:30 p.m., followed at 5:30 by a ham-and-bean picnic cooked by “Doodle” Burk. A $1 donation for adults and 50 cents for children is asked. The Greencastle National Guard Armory, 401 N. Arlington St, will hold an open house from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16. Everyone is invited to attend. Refreshments will be irved. Military equipment will be on display. Sunday Revival services with Rev. Russell Patton will begin Sunday, Sept. 17 and continued through Tuesday, Sept 19 at the Reelsville United Methodist Church. Special music is scheduled nightly. Duty, executive director of the new Eiteljorge Museum of American Indiana and Western Art, Indianapolis, will present a lecture and slide show to the DePauw Women’s Club at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18 at Recital Hall on the DPU campus. Early childhood educators will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18 at Little Lambs Preschool at Big Walnut Baptist Church, Reelsville. The group will tour the facility and view the video “Developmentally Appropriate Practices.” Also discussed will be the lAEYC chapter formation. Tuesday Story Time will begin at the Putnam County Library on Tuesday, Sept. 19. The sessions for four- and five-year-olds will meet 10-10:30 a.m. Tuesdays, beginning Sept 19. Latter-day Saints will dedicate new building on Sunday, Sept. 24

The Greencastle Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints will hold a special worship service Sunday, Sept. 24 to dedicate their new church. SERVICES ARE scheduled 10-11:30 a.m. Everyone is invited to attend and share in the dedication service. THE CHURCH of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has a policy that no building may be dedicated until it is completely paid for. The Greencastle branch has now met this and other requirements, and is able to formally dedicate the new church building.
