Cloverdale wants balance this seasor

DOMKE Banner-Graphic Sports Editor CLOVERDALE - Debbie Mann will surely be missed on the hardwood this winter when the Cloverdale High School girls’ basketball team takes aim at another season. HOWEVER, IN THE long run, Mann’s absence could prove to be a positive thing for the Clovers as they try to improve on last season’s 7-11 record. “We have to overcome her loss with balance,” said CHS coach Greg Hammond of Mann, who averaged about 24 points per game one year ago. “We’ve got some players this year capable of doing some good things. They were capable last year, but they didn’t do them because they let Debbie do it all.” Five girls return from last year’s team and four of them are seniors.
