Lutherans' Holy Week services set
Peace Lutheran Church will have Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services. The 7 p.m. Maundy Thursday service in the church’s fellowship area will include a Passover supper followed by Holy Communion. Bainbridge churches combine services
The Bainbridge Christian Church and Bainbridge United Methodist Church will serve as co-hosts for community Easter Week services. A 7:30 p.m. Maundy Thursday communion will be at the Christian Church with Pastor Grant Wiley directing the service. Special music will be provided by a brass quartet led by Malinda Zenor. The DePauw University School of Music will present a recital at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, in Thompson Recital Hall of the Performing Arts Center. FEATURED WILL BE Laurie Carney on violin, William Grubb on cello and Claude Cymerman on piano. Carney was the youngest student ever admitted to the college division of The Juilliard School. Allow extra time for holiday travel Travel authorities are recommending that all airline passengers allow extra time for the Easter vacation period. March 28 through April 6 will be extremely busy times at most major airports. It is recommended that travelers check in a minimum of one hour before flight time, and additional time is recommended. Airport parking will be congested for these dates and if possible travelers should avoid leaving vehicles at airport parking facilities. Obituary Guy E. Greenlee Sr. Services were held Monday in Terre Haute for Guy E. Greenlee Sr., 67, Terre Haute, who passed away Friday afternoon at Union Hospital. Bom Sept. 22, 1918 in Greencastle, he was the son of Zennia “Jack” and Lennie (Swain) Greenlee. He was the retired owner of the Candlelight Restaurant and an employee of Hulman and Co. for 27 years. Survivors include the wife, Beulah; a daughter, Donna M. Greenlee, Wilmington, Del.; a son, Guy Greenlee Jr., Terre Haute; three sisters, Helen Wyatt, Mae McKee and Doris White; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Greenlee was a Navy veteran of World War 11. He was a member of theVFW. Burial was in Roselawn Memorial Park at Terre Haute, following services at Deßaun Funeral Home.

City Police Det. Charles “Sonny” Wood has charged Brian Mangus, 20, Greencastle, in connection with the 1985 burglary of D & W Fur Co. on Elizabeth Street. The firm is no longer in business, police said. Mangus was arrested Monday by Putnam County Sheriffs Department Det. Richard Lyon. He was lodged in the Putnam County Jail. City Firemen Greencastle firemen were called out on two runs Monday afternoon. At 2:55 p.m., they went to the Jim Richards residence, 403 Elm St., where a short in a blower motor on the furnace had filled the house with smoke. Damage was reported at SIOO. Firemen returned to station at 3:17 p.m. At 4 p.m. Monday, firemen went to the property of Gene Akers along Houck Road.
