NEW Y(>RK (AP) Mary Tyler Moore says she regards herself as an alcoholic and has a dark side despite the bubbly character she portrayed in her popular television series. Her husband, cardiologist Robert Levine, warned her about her habit of drinking two large martinis every night, she says in this week’s edition of Newsweek magazine. “Even when my husband made me realize that a diabetic who drinks with any consistency runs the risk of permanent hypoglycemia, I found it very hard to stop. I think of myself now as an alcoholic,” she said. She spent five weeks undergoing treatment at the Betty Ford clinic in Palm Springs, Calif. NEW YORK (AP) President Reagan’s actress daughter Patti Davis has turned her hand to writing her own roles. Her novel, “Home Front,” to lx* published in March, deals with a 1960 s college student who defies her politician father to become involved in the antiwar movement.
