Legal Notice NOTICE TO BIDDERS The Board of Commissioners of Putnam County, Indiana, will receive bids for the construction of: PUTNAM COUNTY BRIDGE 85-30 COUNTY ROAD 50 EAST OVER CLINE CREEK FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP PUTNAM COUNTY. INDIANA until 8:30 o'clock p.m. Eastern Standard Time on the 18th day of November, 1985 at the Office of the Board of Commissioners in the Putnam County Courthouse, Greencastle, Indiana. at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The proposed construction will consist of: Removal of existing one span (30.0 ) concrete encased steel beam bridge and construction of new one span (40.0 ) prestressed concrete beam bridge (skew 20 degrees Lt. with 24.0’ minimum clear roadway) at approximate centerline Station 7 plus 19.00 “A" and all other work incidental to the construction, all as more fully set forth in the Plans and Special Provisions. Wages rates for this work shall be not less than the prescribed scale of wages as determined pursuant to the provisions of IC 5-16-7-1 thru 4. Proposal and Performance Guarantee. Each bid shall contain the full name of every person or company interested in it and shall be accompanied by a bond or certified check on a solvent bank equal to five per cent (5%) of the total bid. that if the bid is accepted, a Contract will be entered into and the performance of its proposal secured. A performance bond with good and sufficient surety, acceptance to the County, shall be required of the successful bidder in the amount equal to at least one hundred per cent (100%) of the contract price, conditioned upon the faithful perlormance of the contract. The Contractor shall execute a payment bond to the state, approved by and for the benefit of the political subdivision or agency, in an amount equal to the contract price. The payment bond is binding on the contractor, the subcontractor, and their successors and assigns for the payment of all indebtedness to a person for labor and service performed, material furnished, or services rendered. The payment bond must state that it is for the benefit of the subcontractors, laborers, material suppliers, and those performing ser vices The surety of the payment bond may not be released until one (1) year after the board s final settlement with the Contractor No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after a date set for opening of bids.
