—TV DIALOGUE—
ROOKIE OF THE YEAR Please settle an argument. I say that Robert Foxworth of “Falcon Crest” played Kate Jackson’s husband, Mike, on “The Rookies.” My wife disagrees. R. 8., Ocean, N.J. Your wife knows whereof she speaks. Mike Danko was played by Sam Melville during the full run of the show (1972-76). RAT PATROL FAN been watching reruns of “The Rat Patrol” and wonder why I never see its star, Christopher George, anymore. —l. G., Rockport, Mass. George died a couple of years ago from heart disease. YOUNG NOAH Didn’t Noah Hathaway of “The Neverending Story” also play Boxey on “Battlestar Galactica”? J.J., Santa Barbara, Calif. Yup. He played the little ‘ipace kid beginning in 1978. COMO SE LLAMA? Can you tell me the name of the Spanish actor who starred in a ’sos western with Shelley Winters and Rory Calhoun? It was set in Mexico. Is he still alive? P.Z., York, Neb. -Gilbert Roland, a former Mexican bullfighter, starred in "The Treasure of Pancho Villa,” the film to which you’re referring. Roland is still alive. DEAD OR ALIVE Do you remember Richard Jaeckel? Short, stocky, blond hair? I say he died; my husband says no. The bet’s S2O. N.S., Grand Junction, Colo. You lose. Jaeckel is very much alive and is currently co-starring in the Jeff Bridges film “Starman.” IDENTIFICATION, PLEASE the group Band-Aid, my friends and I are trying to figure out who the women are and who the black artists are. Do you know? L.G., Cairo, 111. They are members of, respectively, Bananarama and Kool and the Gang. By the way, proceeds from sales of the Band-Aid record go to the Ethiopian Relief Fund.

HEAT AND DUST Please settle a bet about the movie “Body Heat.” W'as it Kathleen Turner’s character, or the woman who was seen briefly as her high-school friend, on the beach in the final scene? M.S., Atlantic Highlands, N.J. It was Miss Turner’s character. She had switched identities with her friend, and it was the friend who was actually blown up in the explosion. NO LUKES I just saw Jon Voight in “Table for Five” on HBO. Didn’t he play Luke on “The Real McCoys”? K.F., Greensboro, N.C. Nope. Richard Crenna was Luke McCoy from 1957 until 1963, the entire run of the popular comedy series. TRIVIAL PURSUIT I want to complain about “Hot Pursuit” being moved from Saturdays to Fridays. It seems to me it would have a better chance to survive not competing against “Dallas” or “Falcon Crest.” J.L.R., Visalia, Calif. Your point is well-taken. The NBC series didn’t fare any better on Friday nights and was canceled at the end of December. (C) 1985.
