CINDY ZIMMERMAN AND Brian Wellers were wed in a Sept. 8 ceremony at the Bainbridge Methodist Church. After the reception, the bridegroom’s family from Michigan and Ohio and the bride’s family and friends gathered at the family home to get acquainted and eat. The bride’s brother, Butch, Colorado, was also in attendance.

By CECILY BROWNSTONE Associated Press Food Editor VEGETARIAN SUPPER Baked Eggplant & Rolls Tossed Green Salad Fruit & Anise Cookies BAKED EGGPLANT lM>-|jound eggplant 3 large eggs 3 tablespoons unbleached all-purpose flour Va cup olive oil (about) Meatless tomato sauce (about 4 cups) Dried Oregano 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Wash and dry eggplant; trim ends; do not pare; slice into Vi-inch thick rounds. Sprinkling with salt, layer slices in a colander; cover and let drain for 1 hour; dry slices with paper towels. Beat eggs and flour until smooth. In a large skillet heat 2 tablespoons of the oil. Dip eggplant in egg-flour mixture and slowly brown on both sides in the hot oil; add more oil as needed. Add a layer of eggplant to a shallow 2-quart baking disn( about 12 by 8 by 2 inches). Heat tomato sauce and cover eggplant with some of it; sprinkle with oregano and some of the cheese; continue to layer in this way. Bake in a preheated 35(Megree oven until hot through to 3U minutes. Makes 6 servings.

Burial was in Hebron Cemetery.
