I came here and was lucky enough to be offered the job. I feel very fortunate to have been chosen. ’ ’ What first impressed Fajt about Greencastle, and Putnam County as well, was the willingness of the people to work together. “It’s the attitudes of the people here that I first noticed,” Fajt said. “People here are very cooperative and want to work to get projects done. “The medical staff, and the (hospital) board of trustees, have been excellent in terms of working to help us meet our objectives.” But Fajt noted Putnam County and Greencastle offers much more. “THIS AREA OFFERS you the opportunity for a good family life,” Fajt maintains. “There are several wholesome family-type activities here. There’s golfing, tennis, skiing in the winter and plenty of fishing with three fantastic lakes within a half hour’s drive. We have good parks with Raccoon State Park, Lieber State Park and McCormack’s Creek State Park nearby. “It’s the size of this community that offers certain opportunities for children that would not present themselves in larger communities,” Fajt concluded.
