Dear Abby
DEAR ABBY: I live around Dallas, and there’s a club where male dancers “dance” with nothing on but itty-bitty G-strings. They’re all very sexy-looking, well-built guys. 1 his club is so popular with women (no men are allowed), if you don’t get there an hour before the doors are opened, you can’t get in. I was there with a bunch of girls from the office and I’m no goody-two-shoes, but I was shocked. The men do a lot of very suggestive dancing and then they go out in the audience. If a woman tips them, she gets a big French kiss! I saw this with my own eyes. Can a girl catch a disease from one of these male dancers if she kisses him? They must kiss a hundred girls in one evening. Is there a weekly health inspection on these male dancers to ensure someone who is only out with the girls to have a good time that she won’t catch something and take it

Night club wife afraid of communicable disease
home to her husband? SCARED TO PLAY, AFRAID TO PAY DEAR SCARED: I can’t answer the question about a “weekly health inspection,” but if the men kiss “about a hundred” women a night, they would need a daily health inspection to be positively certain they were healthy. Both the kisser and the kissee are at risk. Foolish, all. * * * DEAR ABBY: Here’s the situation in a nutshell: Last evening I had dinner (alone) at a first-class restaurant. The food was fine, but the service was terrible. Instead of tipping the waiter the usual 15 percent, I tipped him only 10 percent. He handed it back to me, saying, “Here, you need this more
than I do.” What should I have said? J.D. IN BUFFALO DEAR J.D.: To the waiter you should have said, “Thank you.” And to the manager, you should have said, “The service was poor and my waiter was insolent.” * * * DEAR ABBY: I might sound like a 16-year-old girl, but I’m a 64-year-old widow. I lost my husband of 40 years two years ago. He had been in a wheelchair for years. I had to feed and change him like you would a baby, but I didn’t mind. He was a good man and I loved him. Last year I met “Henry,” who is also in a wheelchair. His wife had been dead for six years, and Henry had been in a wheelchair for nearly 30 years. He can’t move anything but his hands and arms, but he does more work than a man who hasn’t got anything wrong with him. Henry repairs electrical appliances, does gardening, housework, etc. He’s kind and sweet and we fell in love. Henry has four children. The three
HEADACHES ARE SERIOUS! Headaches can, of course, result from many conditions. But research has revealed that a common cause often unrecognized can be traced to the cervical vertebrae (spinal bones of the neck). Seeking relief by merely drugging the pain often allows the cause of the symptoms to go untreated. If you have headaches, it would be wise to seek qualified professional counsel as
early as possible from a doctor of chiropractic. Under chiropractic care, a patient is either treated or referred after a comprehensive differential
diagnosis.

oldest are married; the youngest, “Billy,” is not. Billy is as sorry a boy as they come. When he works, all his money goes for beer and dope. When nobody’s around, he bullies his daddy and curses him like he was a dog. Henry gives Billy money when he demands it because he’s afraid of him. Henry wants to marry me, but I just can’t, feeling like I do about that boy of his. His other kids are nice as they can be, and they love me like I was their mother. What should I do? MISERABLE DEAR MISERABLE: You don’t say whether Billy lives at home, but if he does, he should be put out and warned not to come around. Henry’s older children should help enforce this. If they can’t handle it, don’t hesitate to call the law. (Problems? What’s bugging you? Unload on Abby, P.O. Box 38923, Hollywood, Calif. 90038. Sour cream fudge delight of candy lover
By CECILY BROWNSTONE Associated Press Food Editor DEAR CECILY: My husband’s favorite bought fudge is vanilla flavor. I’d like to make some for him, but need a recipe. CANDY CONNOISSEUR. DEAR CANDY CONNOISSEUR: The latest recipe I have tried for vanilla fudge uses sour cream and in my opinion the flavor and texture are delightful. And the recipe offers a bonus: for cooks who like chocolate, we tell how to add that flavoring. Your request reminded me of a note I recently received from a New York friend. I quote: “Did I tell you that when I visited my friend Mary G., in Orlando, Fla., she and her husband said one of their favorite ways of spending Saturday evening is getting together with another couple and sitting around in the kitchen talking and making fudge. And that’s just what we dicf the weekend I was there. It was fun.’’ C.B. SOUR CREAM FUDGE 2 cups sugar Vz cup sour cream l-3ra cup light com syrup 2 tablespoons butter 1 teaspoon vanilla
