BAINBRIDGE-All sixteen members of Josephine Fosher’s family gathered at her home for Christmas dinner and a gift exchange Friday evening, Dec. 26. Those present were from Albany, Ga., St. Louis. Mo., Indianapolis, Crawfordsville, Fillmore and Bainbridge. Mr. and Mrs. Donavon Shoaf entertained their family for Christmas dinner. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Simpon of Hillsdale (the former Karla Gibson), Jeannie and family of Pittsburgh, who remained for the week, and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Gibson. The Ratcliff Christmas dinner on Sunday was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Don Gilstrap, Robbie Gibson, Kelly Foster and Cline Ratcliff. It was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Ruark on I>ake Raccoon. Mrs. Marie Windmiller of Roachdale had dinner on Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Don Gilstrap. Mrs. Emagene Powers visited her brother Herman Gowin and family in Lebonon over the Christmas holidays. Mr. and Mrs. James Tilley and their daughters were Christmas guests of Mrs. Tilley’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Pell, Brazil. Mr. and Mrs. A 1 Tackett spent the holidays with their two sons and families in Louisville. Ky. A family dinner and gift exchange was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Baker on Christmas Day. Mr. and Mrs. Gene McFarland spent the holidays with their daughter Becky Chapin and family in Norwalk. Ohio. Other family member present were grandchildren along with Rhonda and Barbara McFarland. Barbara is home from Purdue during the school vacation.
Past Presidents set date for third arts, crafts show
Saturday, Nov. 7, was the date set for the third annual Arts and Craft Show sponsored by the Putnam County Past Presidents’ Club when that organization met at Monnett’s Cafeteria for a luncheon Dec. 31. During the meeting, Edith Fry, committee chairman, gave a resume of the 1980 Arts and Craft Show, expressing thanks to all who participated. A candlelight installation of officers was conducted by Betty Sendmeyer. county extension agent. Officers installed for 1981-82 were president. Grace McKeehan: vice president. Christine Michael: secretary and treasurer. Louise Johnson. Mary Ellen Glidewell was given the responsibility of sending flow'ers and cards while the telephone committee will be composed of Betty McFarland and Elizabeth McCullough. Members decided the 1981

Guests of Mildred Austin during the holiday were Mr. and Mrs. Lanny Parker and family, Muncie, Mr. and Mrs. William Austin and daughters, and W.F. Huffman. Guests of Mrs. Purcell and family over the holidays were Dr. William Houser, his wife and two daughters from Evansville, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Blayde and daughters, Frankfort, and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hoke and family. Mrs. houser visited with othe relatives during the week. Mr and Mrs. David Summers and family of Thorntown hosted a Christmas dinner and gift exchange. Many guests were present. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Zimmerman entertained their entire family on Christmas Eve. The couple left the next day for Houston, Tex., to visit their sons John and Rodney for a week. Mrs. Margaret Dickson has been released from Putnam County Hospital after three weeks. She will stay at the home of her daughter in Illinois while recuperating. Mrs. Hazel Graham and Delbert visited Friday afternoon with her brother Clarence Steward and Mrs. Crosby. After visiting her mother Juanita MeMurty and son. Maryln McMurtry and daughter Alicia have returned to their home in Florida. Mrs. Cecil English and daughter, Suzanne have returned from a vacation in Riode Jangers, Brazil where they visited the Amazon Jungle at Manaus, Brazil. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Harlan and Mr. and Mrs. Jewel Blue have returned home from the resort in Lake Placid. Fla. where they spent the month of December. They saw Cypress Gardens and visited Mr. and Mrs. Vic Walter and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Worley.
