People in the news Charlie's 'Angel' belongs to Brian Actress Cheryl Ladd. 29, of “Charlie’s Angels” was married to composer Brian Russell. 35. in a “traditional” ceremony Saturday at a western Colorado ranch. "It was done in the living room of the ranch house,” Miss Ladd s manager, Mike Gardner said. “There were silver chandeliers, white flowers and a big fire going. It was traditional in every sense of the word.” THE CEREMONY WAS performed by the bridegroom’s father, the Rev. Henry Russell of Parkdale Presbyterian Church of Toronto, Ontario. Miss Ladd’s sister, Mary Ann Eichman, was matron of honor and the bride’s 5-year-old daughter. Jordan, and Russell’s 4-year-old daughter, Lindsay. were flower girls. Miss Ladd was married to David Ladd in 1973 and divorced seven years later. Russell was divorced from singer Brenda Russell. The couple will live in Beverly Hills, and the bride will return to Hollywood Tuesday to resume shooting of "Charlie’s Angels.” • NEW YORK (AP) George Bush says he plans to keep a low profile as vice president and promises, “I will not have hurt feelings when people ask. ‘What happened to George Bush?’” In an interview in Time magazine. Bush said he had not been given any specific functions by President-elect Ronald Reagan though he has talked to Reagan about his responsibilities. “But I think the Mondale formula is a good one,” Bush said, referring to current Vice President Walter Mondale. “That is what I would like to be. What I want is for people to wake up in two years and say, ‘You know, this guy really did something,”’ he said. • “I wish you would go away,” Queen Elizabeth II shouted at reporters, in an uncharacteristic outburst, last week during her holiday visit to Sandringham. They had followed her to her privately owned country castle with the hope of learning whether Lady Diana Spencer was along as the guest of Prince Charles. Taking note of the growing persistence of news organizations on the subject, Michael Shea, the royal press secretary, said on the weekend, “The queen has become increasingly angry about this, to put it bluntly this trip has been far worse than any other. “Now it seems that some Fleet Street editors think the queen is fair game, even when she has no official engagements,” Shea said. “No member of the royal family can move out of Sandringham without a posse of pressmen surrounding them. They are hanging about the stables, photographing anything that moves.” • When Debrett’s Peerage announced recently that it had traced Ronald Reagan’s ancestry back to the 11th-century Irish King Brian Boru, Houghton Mifflin rushed to provide the president-elect with a copy of its 1980 novel, “The Lion of Ireland,” based on Boru’s life. On the weekend the Boston publishers offered their bit of insight into Reagan’s transition period. They said he had called the author, Morgan Llywelyn, the day before Christmas to compliment her on the book, saying he was “sneaking away every chance I get” to read it. • From El Dorado Country Club in Palm Springs, Calif., Greer Garson said Sunday that - after a year’s absence because of ill health she would return to New York in February or March as co-producer of “Jitters,” which is to open on Broadway in April with June Havoc. This will be Miss Garson’s fourth New York theater venture, all four with Arthur Cantor as co-producer. Its predecessors were “On Golden Pond” on Broadway and two one-man shows, “St. Mark’s Gospel,” with Alec McCowen, and “Playboy of the Weekend World,” with Emlyn Williams. The 71-year-old former film star said she was feeling “extremely well never better” after an illness last spring when, she recalled, “the main works rather ground to a stately halt.” Now she was enthusiastic about her implant of a heart pacemaker. “They’re wonderful,” she said. “At first people rather shrink away from you and then they start eyeing you. I just say, ‘lt’s right there in my right shoulder muscle.’”

LINDA, BRUCE: Jenners-to-be NEW YORK (AP) Chrystie Jenner says a major problem in her now-broken marriage to Olympic decathlon champion Bruce Jenner was her willingness to keep herself in the background. “Many women have had trouble with my being so devoted to Bruce’s winning the gold medal. Yes, I had to subjugate everything, but it was a goal I accepted,” she said. “Now I see that it is everybody’s responsibility to set limits about what will be sacrificed in a marriage,” she said. The Jenners separated a year ago and their divorce is nearly final. In an article in this week’s edition of People magazine, she described her life at age 30. “Today the important things in my life are my kids (Burt, 2, and Casey, 7 months), my design work, my friends and my running, and I feel fulfilled by those.” Jenner, meanwhile, has been dating Elvis Presley’s former girlfriend, Linda Thompson, and they are making plans to wed when Jenner’s divorce is final. People said. • NEW YORK (AP) - The Broadway comedy “Mixed Couples” closed because actress Julie Harris became ill, its producer said. Producer Frederick Brisson said Saturday the James Prideaux play was closing after that night’s performance because Miss Harris had to “leave the cast immediately for hospitalization.” He declined to reveal the nature of her illness. The play, which opened Dec. 28 to mixed reviews at the Brooks Atkinson Theater, also starred Geraldine Page, Rip Torn and Michael Higgins. OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Former Speaker of the House Carl Albert was reported in stable condition at Oklahoma Memorial Hospital, where he was undergoing tests.
