' The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Walton of Greencastle and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Richardson, also of Greencastle. I The double-ring ceremony was performed by the Reverend Eaul Bowen, church pastor, in thra* presence of friends and of the couple. ‘Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a white dhiffon and Chantilly lace gown. A lace ruffle accented the yoke and top half of the puffed sleeves. Lace also trimmed the dollar, cuffs, ruffled hem and detachable chapel length train. Silk venise lace and tiny pearls adorned the bodice and skirt. ! Her bridal bouquet was a Cascade of white silk pixie carnations, white sweetheart noses, baby’s breath and Stephanotis. * Miss Suzy Saunders of Greencastle, college roommate of the bride, was her maid of honor. She wore a floor-length gown of doubleknit fabric in bittersweet which featured an empire waist With gathered bodice and Spaghetti straps. The dress also featured a dainty crocheted Cape jacket tied at the waist.

The community extends its condolences to Jane and her family. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Stewart visited his parents, Mr. ar)d Mrs Sam Crooks and children, Penny, Mark and Paula.

A matching picture hat completed her outfit and she carried a basket of yellow daisies, white miniature carnations, peach roses, fern and ivy. Bridesmaids were Miss Pam Walton, sister of the bride, and Miss Cindy Aikman, friend of the bride. They wore gowns identical to the maid of honor in ginger and ice peach with matching hats. Kirkman sang “Evergreen” and “We’ve Only Just Begun.” Miss Denise McMains registered the guests. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the church. DEAR HELOISE: I too want to thank you for your wonderful column, and all the nice people that share all the goodies with everyone. I would like to share something I discovered recently. About three years ago, my daughter gave me a beautiful hand-carved candle. It was getting to look dingy. I tried cleaning it with nylon hose, which didn’t do much good, couldn’t reach any of the fancy cut places. One day I took a big chance! 1 sat the candle in the sink and sprayed all-purpose spray cleaner all over it. In seconds, you wouldn’t believe all the yellow dust, dirt, etc. that just rolled off. Quickly I ran lukewarm water over it and it looks like brand new. Didn’t even hurt all the beautiful colors at all!
