CLOVERDALE- Three Cloverdale High School students, Glenda Steel, Diane Yount and Tom Alexander, have been selected as Outstanding Teenagers of America for 1975. The Outstanding Teenagers, who are nominated by their school principals, are chosen for excellence in academic achievement and community service. These students will now vie for the Outstanding Teenager of the Year trophies to be presented in May of this year. Yount, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Yount, is planning to attend Indiana State University next year and major in accounting. She has been active in school activities including the President of the National Honor Society for one year and was a member of the academic group for two years. She has also been a member of the school’s GAA program for four years serving as secretary for three years. COATESVILLE - Jerry Steele, Coatesville, is one of 94 state residents included in the list of exhibitors who entered hogs in the 1975 Production Tested Barrow Contest of the National Barrow Show. This year’s event will be held on Monday through Wednesday, Sept. 8-9-10, again at the Mower County Fairgrounds in Austin, Minn. Entries in the contest totaled 1,205, a small increase over the 1,178 hogs entered last year. In 1973, the first year of the Production Tested Barrow Contest, some 843 entries were recorded. Again this year the Greencastle High School Choir will add their talents to the community Good Friday service. The 1975 service will be held at McAnally Center Auditorium on March 28 at 8 p.m. Every member of the community is invited to attend the service.
