FILLMORE-Mrs. Elizabeth Huffman, a patient in Greencastle Nursing Home, spent Saturday with the John Lairmore family. Jesse Seckman, a patient in Greencastle Nursing Home, hasn’t been feeling so well and the doctor was called to see him Saturday. Mrs. Ethel Byrd is recovering from an attack of flu.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jackson of Bloomington visited Sunday afternoon with his mother, Mrs. Ethel Jackson and son Edwin, and her parents Mr. and Mrs. Oran Buis.
Everyone is welcome. Saturday A euchre party will be held Saturday at the Fillmore firehouse. Supper will be at 6:30 p.m. and games at 8 p.m. The party is sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary. Landy Myers of New Market and Lon Myers of Crawfordsville were callers of their sister this week, Mrs. Nelle Phillips. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hazlett and Mrs. Hazlett’s brother, Hermit Childress of Russellville returned home Wednesday afternoon after spending the past two months in St. Petersburg Beach, Florida. While in Florida, their visitors and guests were Mr. and Mrs. Sam Davidson of Punta Gorda, Florida Mrs. Davidson is a sister of Mr. Hazlett. Also guests were Mrs. Nora Dunn, Mrs. Grace Bowman and Mrs. Cecelia Fogarty all of Crawfordsville, Mrs. George Winters and daughter Jane Pettus of St. Louis, Missouri and Mr. and Mrs. Kirby Childress of Crawfordsville. Mrs. Winters is an aunt of Mrs. Hazlett and Hermit and Kirby Childress is a brother to them. Relatives here have received word of the illness of Sam Davidson of Punta Gorda, Florida. He is in a hospital suffering a heart attack but is now out of Intensive Care. He is a brother-in-law of Victor and Ernie Hazlett of Russellville. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Sutherlin and family were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Alva Myers in Crawfordsville. A birthday dinner was held Sunday at the home of Mr.and Mrs. Issiac Wiatt in honor of Issiac’s birthday. To enjoy the dinner and day were Wanentia and David Wiatt of Waveland, Miss Ellen Job of Greencastle, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Wiatt and family, Darrell Wiatt, M. and Mrs. Glenn Wiatt and family, Mr. Ival McGaughey and Mrs. Hazel Sutherlin all of Russellville. Carla, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Janneck of Danville, was struck by a car as she crossed road 36 on her way to school Thursday morning. She was taken to Hendricks County Hospital at Danville and was checked, but no serious injuries were found. She returned home with only a bruise on her head and a painful back. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Harbison and greatgranddaughter of Mrs. Eva Harbison all of Russellville. Mrs. Lucille Kelly recieved word of the sudden death of her
