Mrs. Myrtle Plunkett was hostess to the Bethel Community Club on Wednesday for a baby shower in honor of Mrs. Walley Jefferies and baby daughter Mr. and Mrs. Doc Wilson of Greencastle were Sunday dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gooch and Billy Ward. Cleo Chastain spent the weekend in Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Gary Bennington of Indianapolis was an overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Bennington Mr and Mrs. James Reed were visiting in Rockville and Dana on Sunday. They entertained Mrs. Flora lawman with a dinner out. Mr. and Mrs. James Kellitt and Jamie of Terre Haute were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs Reed Hennon and Beth Ann and celebrated Jamie's third birthday on November 8.

Green and Sue. Richard Green and Greg Green are patients in Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Mr. and Mrs. Cleo Stewart of Jamestown were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brown on Friday. Miss Cindy Goff of Russellville was one of the six coeds chosen to be majorettes at DePauw University in Greencastle. She is the daughter of Mrs. Maxine Stout of Russellville and Keith Goff of Crawfordsville. She is a graduate of North Putnam High School. Born Nov. 9- a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Harold Doremire of Salem. She was named Catherine Elizabeth. Mr. Doremire was a former teacher in the North Putnam School. TOPS 604 meets

At the weekly meeting of TOPS 604 on November 12, TOPS lost 16^ pounds and KOPS lost 5V 4 . TOPS queen was Dott Burrill and runner-up was Peggy Boswell. The officer of the week was Anna Mae Whitlock. The KOPS queen was Anna Mae Whitlock and runner-up was Dorothy Duncan.

A bazaar will be held December 11 at the regular meeting for the club members.

Harbison, all of Russellville. Mr. and Mrs. Kirby Childress of Crawfordsville spent Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hazlett. Mrs. Nelle Phillips was pleasantly surprized Monday night on her 80th birthday by Mrs. Florence Compton, Bea Hazlett, Thelma Grimes, Zella Clark, Katie Kelly, Dora Shalley.LucettaKlein and Vera Hooper. On Nov. 2, a girl was born to Mr.andMrs. Rodney Coffman of Ladoga. The Coffman’s named her Melissa Sue. They recently moved from Russellville. Mr. and Mrs. Winfred Harbison returned home Friday after spending several days visiting their son Stanley Harbison and family of near Detroit. The Lawton Temple of Russellville met Nov. 6 in the Legion Home for inspection. A pitch-in luncheon was served before the meeting and was enjoyed by everyone. Mrs. Lucille Kelly returned thanks. Margaret Dalzell D.D.G.C. of

Brownstown inspected the temple. Other guests were Mrs. Namoi Liente, Mrs. Adah Elliot, Mrs. Rose Hall, Mrs. Hazel Brooks, Mrs. Gladys Cecil and Mrs. Bebbie Reed, all of Seymour. Mrs. Madge Wooten Grand Chief and Mrs. Elsie Walter both of Jasonville and Mrs. Vera Jacoby of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Lorain Wilson and Mrs. Virginia Ginrich, both of Ladoga, were reinstalled into the Temple. Several sisters were unable to attend because of illness.

The meeting adjourned early in the afternoon. The next meeting will be the Christmas Party Dec.4 in the home of Mrs. Lucille Kelly at which time the secret pal and grab bag gifts will be exchanged and new secret pals selected for the coming year. Bring a covered dish for noon luncheon at 11

am.

The Sir John Ogle Chapter of the Colonial Dames of the XVII Century met Monday at the Fairway Restaurant for a luncheon. Mrs. Joe Thomas offered thanks for the meal. Mrs. Cyril Johnson, outgoing president, installed the new officers. They are as follows: Mrs. Charles Sutherlin, president; Mrs. Ira Moore, vice-president; Mrs. Cyril Johnson, registrar; Mrs. Joe Thomas, secretary; Miss Carrie Pierce, treasurer and

Mrs. Moore, chaplain. Mrs. T.J. Yuncker is chairman of Veterans funds. Mrs. Sutherlin conducted a business session in which she presented all the plans for the year and handed out sheets from the National Society to all the officers. The chapter is giving gifts to the Tenth Street Veterans Hospital, to the National Library and towards two nursing scholarships. The next meeting will be the second Monday in March.
