Carrington-Solomon Vows Exchanged In Russellville
Miss Marsha Solomon became the bride of Kevin Carrington May 18 in an afternoon ceremony performed by Rev. Leo Thompson in the Russellville Christian Church. The organist was Mrs. Crystal Barker of Fillmore. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Solomon of Route 1, Bainbridge. Mr. and Mrs. Philip Carrington of Route 1, Russellville are the parents of the groom. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Her gown was candlelight ivory polyester crepe. The bodice of ' french lace over crepe had a scoop neckline with a rolled wing collar. The slender
sleeves were of lace. The skirt was gored and high-waisted with a detachable chapel length train of scalloped lace. Her chapel length veil was edged in lace and attached to a cluster of lace leaves with pearl accents. The gown was fashioned by the bride and her mother-in-law. Her flowers were a cascade of lavender, blue, yellow and white daisies with baby’s breath, ivy and satin streamers. The maid-of-honor was Teresa Boswell of Merrillville and the bridesmaids were Karen Steele of Coatesville and Mrs. Rachel Crosby of Roachdale. Their gowns were of polyester crepe in colors of
yellow, blue and lavender. They were styled with scoop necklines, puff sleeves and high-waisted gored skirts accented with eyelet lace threaded with velvet ribbon. They carried miniature umbrellas filled with colored daisies to match their dress, baby’s breath and ivy and wore crowns of daisies in their hair. The bride’s mother wore an a-line dress of ivory double knit polyester. It was trimmed with beading in a floral design. The groom’s mother chose a gown of floral print chiffon with a ruffle around the neckline and the cuffs of the long sleeves. They both wore corsages of daisies.
The best man was Brad McGaughey of Russellville. Groomsmen were Bruce Sutherlin of Coatesville and Kenny Carrington, cousin of the groom, of Russellville. Ushers were Dale McGaughey and Steve Clodfelter of Russellville. Guests were registered by

Mrs. Charene Krominaker of Ft. Wayne, aunt of the groom. Deena Dearinger and Mrs. Janice Lee assisted with the gifts. Serving at the reception in the church basement were Mrs. Sherry Wertz of Anderson. sister of the bride and Mrs. Ruth Ann Fulwider,
aunt of the groom. The bride and groom are graduates of North Putnam High School. The bride attended IUPUI and the groom attends Purdue University. After a wedding trip to St. Louis, the couple is residing at Route 1. Russellville for the summer.

Russellville News Candy Bridges Weds Richard Royer In Christian Church

Mr. and Mrs. Ben Gardner of New Market were Monday evening callers of Lucille Gardner. Mrs. Verna Sutherlin returned to her home in the north part of tow n after being released from a nursing home in Danville where she has
been for several months. The Town Board met Monday night at the fire station. The main discussion was on resurfacing another street. Mrs. Mary Cushman returned home this week from Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville after undergoing surgery recently. Russellville Christian Church. The Vacation Bible School, which was in session all last week, held their program Friday evening in the Christian Church. Ray “Pin” Cunningham of Morton was a Thursday guest of Mrs. Eva Harbison. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Flock had Sunday dinner guests for fish. They were Mr. and Mrs. Tex Terry of Mansfield and Miss Lisa Sutherlin. Mrs. Beverly Spore and daughter Kimberly of Crawfordsville were guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Randel Grimes Sunday afternoon. Shirl Evans Jr., of Indianapolis was a Thursday guest of his aunt, Olive Evans. Mrs; Don Proctor returned home Thursday from Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville after undergoing surgery recently. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Clark had Mr. and Mrs. Carson Bushong as Sunday afternoon guests. Sunday afternoon guests of Mrs. Nelle Phillips were Mrs. Lizzie Nunn and Mrs. Bernice Baxter, both of Romney.
Mrs. Phillips returned Monday to the home of her brother, Lon Myers in Crawfordsville. Mr. Myers remains quite sick yet in the hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hoovermale of Sulpher Springs, attended church services here Sunday. In the afternoon they were guests of Mrs. Eva Harbison. Mrs. Grace Rutledge and daughter Phyllis, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Clodfelter and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Clodfelter and family and Mr. and Mrs. John Clodfelter were among those from here who attended a buffet dinner Sunday in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Clodfelter in Indianapolis. The dinner was in honor of the Don Clodfelter’s daughter, Denise, who graduated this week from John Marshall High School in Indianapolis. Mrs. Frances Harbison returned home this week from a hospital in Lafayette after a few days stay. Mrs. Beulah Allgood has purchased a mobile home and it is located on the Vanhook lot in the east part of town. Mrs. Ethel Henderson of
Lexington, Ind.. was a Tuesday guest of Olive Evans. Mrs. Lee Evans is a patient in Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville and is undergojng tests. Mrs. Helen Erie of London, Ohio, spent the weekend with her sister, Mrs. Mildred Sinnett and family and her brothers. Bob and Jim Perry and families. She returned home on Monday. Walter Hester was taken to Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville Friday due to a heart condition. Notice Mrs. Susan Rumple and children, Tanya. Lisa, Mel, Tammy and Anthony, have returned to their home in Wayne. Mich., after visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore F. Bock and other relatives. Mrs. Rumple was here for her parents fiftieth wedding anniversary. Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Miller. Route 1. Greencastle, are observing their twentieth wedding anniversary Wednesday. June 12.
