Albert Truesdale underwent surgery Friday at the Putnam County Hospital. The Fillmore Christian Chi-Rho had a Halloween Carnival Saturday, Oct. 20 from 5 to 8 p.m. They enjoyed the haunted house, a cakewalk, games and refreshments. C.W.F. general meeting will be Thursday, Oct. 25, at the Christian Church. It is the annual “Share a Garment Day” Oran Buis visited Jesse Seckman Friday. Mr. Seckman’s health is about the same. at the Fillmore United Methodist Church,Saturday, Oct. 20, was very successful. Mrs. Emma Ruth Johnson and Mrs. Gladys Phillips celebrated their birthdays together Sunday, for the 43rd time. Others present were Carl Phillips, Hervey Johnson, and daughter, Lota Ann, Rodney Fenwick, Mr. and Mrs. Fay Robinson, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Perkins and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Arnold. The DePauw Collegians were guests Wednesday, Oct. 17 at the South Putnam Convocation.

The Ladies of the Volunteer Firemen’s Auxiliary Euchre Party will be Saturday, Oct. 27 at the firehouse.They will serve supper starting at 6:30. The games will start at 8 p.m.
Judith D. Littrell, Route 4, Greencastle, became the bride of Wallace L. Birge, Box 237, Linden, in a September 29 ceremony at the First Christian Church in Greencastle. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Luther Littrell and Mervin Birge. The Rev. Morris Finch officiated at the ceremony, and the bride was given in marriage by her father. Maid of honor was Judy Powell of Cloverdale and Darrell Birge, brother of the groom. Linden, was the best man. Linda Baxter of Cloverdale was a bridesmaid and Steve Jorgensen of Linden was a groomsman. Ushers were Darrel J orgensen of Li nden and David White of Greencastle, a nephew of the groom. A niece of the bride, Lorie Lynn Petit of Greencastle was the flower girl and Harold Littrell of Cartersville, Georgia^ nephew erf the bride, was ringbearer. The bride wore a floor length gown, trimmed in antique white lace.Seeded pearls
adorned the sleeves and high neck collar. She carried yellow roses and teal carnations. Her attendants wore aqua blue, double knit, long empire styled gowns with pinafore tops, trimmed in pink and white. The flower girl wore a similar dress and carried a basket of white and aqua rose pedals. A reception immediately followed the ceremony in Fellowship Hall at the First Christian Church. Assisting at the reception were Bea Littrell, Mary Petit, Martha White, Mrs. Gordon Peit and Mrs. Burl White. The bride is a graduate of Bainbridge High School and is employed at the P.R. Mallory Co. The groom graduated from Linden High School and attended Ball State University. He served with the U.S. Army in Viet Nam and is employed at Morton Building. Following a wedding trip to the Smoky Mountains they will reside at Route 3, Greencastle.
Mr. and Mrs. Willard L. Robinson of Route 2, Cloverdale, wish to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Pamela Sue, to Donald Evan Lotis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Doliver B. Lotis of Route 2, Greenbrier. The bride-elect is a 1970 graduate of South Putnam High School and is now attending David Lipscomb College in Nashville, Tenn. Miss Robinson will graduate in December with a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education. The prospective groom is a 1970 graduate of Springfield High School and is a senior at David Lipscomb College, majoring in Speech and Bible. He is presently serving as minister of the Adams Church of Christ in Adams, Tenn. The wedding is planned for Dec. 9 at 3 p.m. in the West End Church of Christ, Nashville, Tenn.
TOPS #604 Twenty-six members were present for the Oct. 23 meeting of TOPS #604 and recorded a weight loss of 22'A pounds. Sally Stewart was crowned queen, with Marlene Hutcheson as runner-up. KOPS best loser was Adrienne Patterson. June Collins was officer of the week. The forbidden food for the week is sweets. A new member was welcomed into the club.
