E. 2 Mike Beck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rex Beck, is stationed in San Diego with the U.S. Navy. He came home by jet Saturday for a visit. Richard Hughes of Fort Wayne visited with his mother, Mrs. Ed Brown, on Friday. Mrs. Lola Green and Sue attended a shower for Mrs. Mark Metzer at the home of Mrs. Neil Green Saturday. Mrs. Colleen Fly and children of Indianapolis and Calvin Taylor, stationed in Phoenix, Arizona with the armed forces, visited over the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. William H. Greenand Sue. Mr. and Mrs. Merle Stabler recently returned from a fishing vacation in the South. They traveled as far as Miami. P.F.C. John Bowers, son of Mrs. Betty Stabler is stationed with the armed forces at Fort Dix, New Jersey. He was home for a few days. Sergeant Randy Chittendon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Chittendon, arrived home for a vacation from the Air Force Base in Phoenix. Mrs. Betty Hanna, Mrs. Ruth Crosby and Mrs. Marietta Presser of Ladoga were shopping in Indianapolis Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Barker were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Barker of Indianapolis in honor of Claude’s birthday. Miss Brenda Keck was a Sunday night dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs. Estel Keck. Miss Lou Ann Skinner of Columbus and Pam Allen of Ball State University, Muncie, were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Allen. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brown called at the Weaver Funeral Home Friday to pay respects to the family of Newton Poynts. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Allen and family were Sunday night dinner guests of Sheriff and Mrs. Robert R. Shull of Crawfordsville. Mrs. Martha Williams visited several days last week with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ehrghott of Indianapolis. Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Ehrghott visited a cousin, Mr. and Mrs. Owen Taylor of North Bend, Ohio. Dr. and Mrs. W. W. Carr were Friday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Smith and girls of Indianapolis. Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Lister, Marsha Osborne, and Martha Osborne of Plainfield visited over the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Osborne and family. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. Bill Clark and Mrs. Opal Stewart at the Extenda Care Nursing Home. Mrs. Carol Smith and daughter visited the Brow ns Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Keck and family and Mr. and Mrs. Estel Keck toured Kentucky over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Emery of Ninevah visited Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Plunkett and family Saturday. Mrs. Orpha Morley fell while visiting in Indianapolis and broke her hip. She is in Community Hospital there. Mrs. Jean Taylor fell Saturday and broke her leg. She is in Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
