Aeronautics Commission Hears Funding Proposals

The Aeronautics Commission of Indiana conducted a public hearing on Aug. 2 concerning the proposed rules and regulations on the granting of Airport Development Funds. The 1973 Indiana General Assembly appropriated S900,000 for Airport Development and improve-' ment during the next biennium. Following the hearing, the Aeronautics Commission of Indiana approved regulation 6, which deals with the rules and regulations for the granting of Airport Development Funds. Regulation 6 provides that muni-

cipalities may apply to the commission and receive funds for the establishment, developmem, or improvement of airports and other air navigation facilities. The regulation further provides that the commission will accept such requests until Sept. 15, and biannually on Dec. 15 and June 15 each year thereafter.
