Churches Slate Easter Season Services
Father Stineman Announces Holy Week Masses At St. Paul’s
St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church will feature the ancient rite known as “Pedilavium” at the 6:00 p.m. service on Maundy Thursday. Twelve persons will participate in the ceremony in which Father William Stineman, Pastor of the Greencastle parish, will wash their feet as a sign of unity among various aspects of the civic, religious and University communities. Participating are: Judge Francis Hamilton, Sheriff Bob Albright, Dean Robert Farber of DePauw University; and three men of St. Paul’s parish, Andrew Zeller, Michael Tzouanakis, Edward Neary. Others include Reverend Morris Finch of the First Christian Church, Louis Williams, Dr. Elizabeth Christman, Sung Jae Park, Jan
Robitscher, and Lisa Gedert. Services on Good Friday will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. On Saturday the Easter Vigil Service of Light will begin at 8:00 p.m. An Adult candidate will receive the sacraments of baptism and con-
firmation at the Holy Saturday Service. The Easter Sunday Masses will be offered at the usual hours of 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. The public is invited to attend the Holy Week services at St. PauPs Church.
Two Maundy Thursday Services At Presbyterian
n Bainbridge Christian Church Sets Commemoration Observances
On Maundy Thursday, April 19, the Presbyterian Church, 110 S. College, will have two services. The Women’s Association will have a Lenten Devotional Service in the dining room at 9:30 a.m. Mrs. Wilbur Day will be the guest speaker, with Miss Grace Browning in charge of arrangements.
At 7:30 p.m. there will be a Candlelight Communion Service around the tables in the dining room. Miss Pam Coburn, a DePauw student, will sing, “At the Cry of the First Bird.” The meditation will be given by the pastor, Tom Heinlein, on “The Imitation of Christ.”

The young people of the Bainbridge Christian Church will participate in the Communion Service on Maundy Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the church. They will sit at a long table re-enacting the scene of the Passover Supper as the worship setting for the evening service. Don South will sing the hymn “Night with Ebon Pinion” following the conversation of the thirteen. The community is invited to share in this solemn worship and partake of communion from the candle lighted table. On Good Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the Bainbridge Methodist Church a service commemorating the crucifixion of Christ will be held. Rev. Wilbur Day, Rev. Albert Harshbarger, and Rev. Ralph Finchum will share in the com-munity-wide service.

Sunrise Services will be at the Bainbridge Christian Church at 6:30 a.m. 1 he young people will again be in costume as the women discover the empty tomb. The choirs of the cooperating churches will present an "Alleluia" response and the anthem “Low in the Grave He L.ay. Rev. Finchum will welcome
the worshipers as he opens the early morning service, and Rev. Day will bring the Sunrise message of Good News. Both the Christian Church and the Methodist Church of Bainbridge will then hold regular Sunday morning Easter Worship Services in their respective churches.
Bethel Baptist To Be Host For Passion Week
I he Bethel Baptist Church will be host for the Passion Week Services in the Fillmore area during this Easter season. 1 he Maundy Thursday Communion service will be in the charge of Rev. Kyle M. Miller. Dr. Keith Watkins will preach at the Good Friday service and the Rev. Paul Taylor will preach at the Easter Sunrise service at 6:30
am. Rolls and coffee will be served by the host church following the sunrise service. The evening services will begin at 7:30 p.m. The following churches are cooperating in the services: the Fillmore Christian Church, the Fillmore Methodist Church, Cana Methodist Church, and the Bethel Baptist Church.

Robert Preston, and Judy Sparks attended the Country Music Spectacular starring Merle Haggard Saturday night at the Coliseum in Indianapolis. Edna Osborn, Lucille Glstrap, Virginia Gentry, and Kara Keck entertained Lucille Corbin with a dinner at Cambridge Inn Wednesday to celebrate her birthday. All are employees of Asher's Ca fe.

Mr. and Mrs. James McNalley of Saginaw, Mich., spent the weekend with their son, Mr. and Mrs. John McNalley and family.
