At Women’s Golf Meeting

Enthusiasm for the coming golf season was evident when 51 women were present for the opening golf organizational meeting at Windy Hill Country Club Tuesday. Coffee and coffee cakes were served from a table arranged with a bouquet of Japanese iris and jonquils. The new officers were on hand to greet the guests. The president for the season is Mrs. Dale Oliver. Mrs. Fred Walters of Cloverdale is vice president, and Mrs. Edward Hannon is recording secretary. Mrs. Robert Schisler is corresponding secretary, Mrs. Hugh Clock is treasurer, and Mrs. Harrold Talbott is reporter. The committee chairwomen were announced by Mrs. Oliver. Mrs. Lee Schoenfeld will chair the tournament committee, Mrs. Russell Vermillion will chair the social committee, Mrs. Laurel Corbin and Mrs. Schisler will chair the invitational tournament, and Mrs. Ronald Terry will head up the handicap committee. Other committee heads announced were Mrs. Richard Flynn in charge of the ringer score committee; Mrs. Leo Proctor, Tuesday coffees; Mrs. Chester Coan, prizes; and Mrs. Forst Fuller, telephone. Golf for the ladies has been scheduled for Tuesday, April 10, with coffee at 8:30 a.m. Play

Mrs. Helen Plunkett returned home from Hendricks County Hospital on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. David Smith of Columbia, Mo., returned home on Sunday after a week's visit with Mr. and Ms. Wayne Plunkett, Martha Jo and Alan. Mr. and Mrs. Pat Foley and children of Indianapolis spent the

Mrs. Lee Ann Long and Mrs. Carol Falkenrath were called to Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville due to the serious illness of their mother, Mrs. Allgood. Bobby Eggers of Anderson is spending a few days with his mother. Mrs. Ethel Eggers. Mr. and Mrs. James Kedett and Jamie spent the weekend visiting Mr. and Mrs. Reed Hennon
and Beth Ann.

TOPS #600, Cloverdale, met on Monday with a 17-pound loss. Bev Cummins was queen of the week and Marge Price was the "Wise Old Owl.” Sherrie Anderson was the queen for the month of March. The forbidden food for the week is noodles and soft drinks. Janet Price received her KIW (KOPS In Waiting) rating. The club welcomed three new members. Anyone interested in joining should call 795-4041. The next meeting will be on April 9.

Eggers are long time members there. Both are retired postal service members. Mr. Eggers served 24 years and 11 months as post master at the Reelsville Post Office, retiring in December of 1965. Mrs. Eggers served as postal clerk in the Reelsville Post Office for 22 years, retiring in July, 1968. The Eggers have lived in Frankfort, Paxton, III., Marion, and for the last 36 years, in Reelsville. They have made many friends in each area.
