re-election campaign. A GAO spokesman said the investigation would look for possible violations of the campaign receipt and expenditure reporting provisions of the new federal election campaign fi-

nance law.

The Washington Post quoted Theodore F. Brill, 20, of River Edge, N.J. as saying he was assigned to infiltrate a group conducting a peace vigil in front of the White House before the Republican National Convention last year. The Post said Philip S. Hughes, director of GAO’s Federal Eelction Office, will conduct the inquiry. 1 he Post also said that former Secretary of Commerce Maurice H. Stans will be questioned as part of the investigation. Stans left his Cabinet post to head Nixon’s fund-raising

(Continued From Page Five) sisient player during the 72-73 campaign and finished as the Cubs second leading scorer with 9.2 per game. At the end of the regular season, the 5T’ senior center broke into the top ten in County scoring with a 10.3 average. Sears’ greatest strength was his rebounding as lie topped the Cubs, along with Arlen Eiteljorge, with 173 bounds during the year. Jim Gerlach-Gerlach wa' .tisoa big factor in the Clovers' success this season. He was second in scoring for the Clovers and fourth in the Comity with a 14.2 average. Gerlach had exceptional games against Edgewood and Owen Valley (Edgewood Holiday Tournament) and against South Putnam (Greencastle Sectional when he scored 31, 29 and 24 points respectively. During the season, Gerlach hit an excellent 56% of his shots from the field but made only 52% of his shots at ttu 'harity line. Although the junior center only stands a' 6’2”. he can keep up w ith much taller players because of his timing and strength. Gerlach led the Clovers in rebounding this season with 144 #39 more than nay other member on his team. Honorable Mention

leave the battlefield By Abigail Van Buren c 197] By CDicaw Tribune N. Y. Newt Synd., Inc. DEAR ABBY: I have a boss who is more than ready for retirement. Nobody knows how old he is, but he’s been with this company for nearly 40 years. About four months ago he announced that he would retire on a certain date. He kept saying, “Well, 120 days before I leave, 110 days, 90 days, etc.” We co-workers planned a farewell dinner for him, and I collected the money for his retirement gift. The morning of the farewell dinner he told us he changed his mind. He is not leaving! We decided to go thru with the dinner and give him the gift anyway. Nobody knows how much longer he will be here. Have you ever heard of anything so crazy? And what can we do about it? STEAMED DEAR STEAMED: What’s s-o crazy about a man changing his mind? When he retires, just say, “Goodbye.” DEAR ABBY: Over a year ago I had some serious emotional problems, and because of my bad behavior my wife left me. Then I did something right for a change. I went to a psychologist. She saw me three times a week, which helped me tremendously. Now I am seeing her only once a week. My psychologist is a single woman, about 40 years old. She is a very understanding person. My problem now is that I am stuck on her! I would like to see her outside her office. Don’t get me wrong. She never did anything to encourage my feelings for her. Should I tell her how I feel about her? I want to, but what if she gets mad at me? Then she wouldn’t even see me in her office, and I couldn’t stand that. Please tell me what to do. UNDECIDED DEAR UNDECIDED: Tell your psychologist how you feel. She’ll know how to handle it, and she’ll help you deal with your feelings. That’s what you’re paying her for. DEAR ABBY: I play piano in a piano bar club. Many customers request special songs, and to show their appreciation they offer to buy me a drink. I don’t drink on the job, so I simply say, “No thanks, I never drink while I’m working.” They smile and that’s the end of it. Abby, if they’d give me the money instead of the drinks I would be very, very happy, but how does one convey this idea to the customers without coming across as a “moneyhungry” musician? If they are willing to buy me a drink, shouldn’t they be just as willing to part with the price of the drink? NAMELESS, PLEASE DEAR NAMELESS: Find a piggy bank in the shape of a kitten and decorate it with the following message, “I’m not thirsty—but you may feed the kitty.” Set it on the piano, but don’t play, “The best things in life are free.”
