Following the bountiful covered dish luncheon which was served at noon, a short business session was held with Mrs Knte Bruce, preident, presiding. The dining room was beautifully decorated in keeping with Christmas. Tall Christmas tapers and holly formed- the center piece for tho table, Tho club gifts were cleverly placed in a. covered box with ribbons vied around eaeh present; The member.1? pulled their gifts from the box with the aid of the ribbons. After the business meeting", two tables of euchre were in play. Prizes were awarded Mrs. T. Kendrix, first, Mrs. James MeBride, second, Mrs. Kate' Bruce, lone, and Mrs. Orville Hazel, consolation. Plans were made by the group to hold a New Years Watch , party at 8 o'clock Monday, January 2 at the home of Mrs.. T. Hendrix, north Lincoln street. Those present were: Mrs. Kate Bruce, Mrs. James MeBride, Mrs. Jackson, Mrs. Roosevelt Smith, Mrs. Opal Branam, Mrs. Everett Alexander, Mrs. .Will Arthur. Mrs. T. Hendrix, Mrs. Orville Hazel, Mrs. Ethel Tapp, and Mrs. Howard Parham. New officers of the C. 6. P. club will be elected at the next business meeting td be held Thursday, December 29, at the home of Mrs. Everett Alexander, south.' Walnut street.
