WE NEED YOUR HELP!!! Dear Readers: The Butler University Volleyball team needs your support! We have a wonderful opportunity to travel to Europe and visit Belgrade, Serbia from May 6-]6,1008. It is a known Butler Volleyball tradition that every player on the team has the chance to play where they are from at least one time during the volleyball career. It is also a tradition that the team goes out of the country every T years. This summer we actually have the chance to combine both. Nina Inic will be a senior on the Butler Volleyball team next season. Nina is originally from Belgrade, Serbia and moved to the United States to attend Butler University. One reason the team is planninga trip to Serbia is so that Nina’s parents can see her play one last time before she graduates. Belgrade is the center of culture and art in Serbia. It is in Belgrade where Europe’s most notable artist create, where over 5^,000 theatrical performances, exhibitions, concerts, performances events, and other artistic programs are presented and where prominent authors in the world of art are hosted. The trip will provide an extraordinary and life enriching experience for our team to immerse ourselves in the art, culture, and institutions of a city that is noted for its opulence in architecture and its rich history. As you know, international travel is the cornerstone of a great lib al arts education and expands the cultural awareness of the traveler. We will also have an opportunity to display our athletic prowess as we engage in the sport we love best-volleyball. You can help make this trip a reality for the volleyball team by making a monetary contribution in any amount, if you make a contribution of $50 or more, your name will be automatically entered into a raffle winner on May 1, 2005.
