From Dressed Up Rice 2 lb. Ground Beef 2 c. rice 1 medium onion 1 c chopped celery 1 medium bell pepper 1 tsp. Salt Dash of pepper 1 can tomatoes, cut up (15 oz.) 2 c. water 1 can fancy kidney beans (28 oz) 1 tbsp. Vegetable oil 1 tsp. Garlic powder Brown meat in a sauce pan drain. Remove meat from pan. Add oil to pan over medium heat. Add rice and brown. Add meat and all ingredients. Stir reduce heat to low. Simmer for 30 minutes or until done.

Scalloped Potatoes 2 lb. Bag frozen hash browns (thawed) _ c chopped onion _ stick melted butter 1 can cream of chicken soup 2 c. shredded Velveeta cheese 1 pt. Sour Cream Mix all ingredients and pour into greased 9x13 pan. Spread on topping and bake at 350 degrees for one hour. Topping 6-8 Tbsp. Butter melted and 2 cups crushed corn flakes.

Put in covered casserole dish and bake at 350 degree for 30 minutes. Apple Tuna Toss 1 medium head lettuce torn in pieces (4 cups) 2 c. diced apples 1 (11 oz.) can mandarin oranges (11/3 cups) drained 1 (7 oz) can tuna drained and broken in large chunks 1/3 cup chopped walnuts. Combine _ c mayonnaise or salad dressing 2 tsp soy sauce 1 tsp lemon juice In large bowel combine lettuce, apples and oranges tuna and nuts toss together. Combine mayonnaise, soy sauce and lemon juice-mix well. To serve add dressing to salad and toss gently. Serves 6-8 Jello and Cool Whip 1 large box cherry jello 11/2 bag (13 oz) small marshmallows _ bowel (9 oz) cool whip 3 -4 bananas Chill jello _ way then mix all the above and chill rest of way. Walnuts are optional. Banana Bread _ cup butter 1 cup sugar 2 eggs 2 cups flour 1 Tbsp. Sods 3 bananas (crushed) _ cup walnuts (optional) Combine all above ingredients and blend well with mixer. Pour mixture in a lightly greased oblong loaf pan.

Yields about 7 cups. Garden Vegetable Stir Fry 2 medium carrots cut into thirds 2 cups green beans, bias sliced into 1 inch 2 cups cauliflower 1 _ tsp Cornstarch 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce 2 tsp sugar 2 Tbsp Cooking Oil 1 medium onion cut into thin wedges 1 cup sliced zucchini Cut carrot into thin sticks. In a covered saucepan, cook carrots and green beans in boiling salt water for 3 minutes. Add cauliflower cover and cook 2 minutes more. Drain well. Stir 2 Tbsp. Cold water into cornstarch stir in soy sauce. Worcestershire sauce, sugar and dash of pepper. Set aside. Preheat a wok or large skillet over high heat, add cooking oil. Stir fry onion in hot

oil for 1 minute. Add carrots, beans cauliflower and zucchini stir fry 2 min. more or until vegetables are crisp tender. Push vegetables from center of wok. Stir soy mixture; stir into vegetables. Cook and stir 3 to 4 minutes or until thickened and bubbly. Serve at once. Serves 6 Dirt Pudding 1 large pkg Oreo cookies (1/14 lb) 3 cups milk 2 small boxes instant French vanilla pudding _ cup margarine, softened pudding 1 cup sugar 1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese, softened 1 (16 oz) container frozen whipped topping thawed Crush cookies in a plastic bag or food processor reserve enough to sprinkle on top of pudding. Sprinkle half of the cookies in the bottom of a 13x9 inch glass dish. Beat together milk and instant pudding, until thickened set aside. Beat together margarine, sugar cream cheese until mixture is creamy. Add thawed whipped topping and pudding to the cream cheese mixture stir will. Pour mixture over crushed cookies in dish. Sprinkle remaining cookies on top cover with plastic and refrigerate at least 4 hours. Overnight is better
