Saturday, June 4 was a great day for a parade. The mercury rose to the mid-80s and sparse clouds dotted the olue, sunlit sky. Large crowds lined the streets in Muncie to watch the annual Black Expo, Muncie Chapter, parade. Two-time Super Bowl champion Brandon Gorin of the New England Patriots and his father, retired Southside High School administrator, Mike Gorin served as grand marshals. The father and son duo kicked off the events of the Black Expo celebration at 11:45 a.m., and led a diverse group of participants from Muncie Fieldhouse to Heekin Park. Standing at any single point along the parade’s route, sightseers could have enjoyed entertainment from Southside High School Marching Band, area step groups such as Anderson Steppers, motorcyclists from Buffalo Soldiers
