Thi tobacco industry continues to target youth by glamorizing tobacco use and launching new products that appeal to young people. Cigarette brands use hip-hop promotions, Oi competitions, entertainment sponsorships and flavored cigarettes to package slick, trend-setting campaigns designed to capture the imagination of urban teens. Think about this; teens are 16 times more likely to smoke when they see their favorite celebrities or stars smoking. And it's everywhere—in movies, TV, music videos and fashion runways .The good news is that parents, teachers and role models still offer the greatest positive influence on a teen's choice not to smoke. It's time to stop the madness. Get pumped. Get outraged. Get involved.
