Andrew the opportunity to be selected for the United Way Campaign video,” said his mother Peggy. Andrew is also featured on several billboards throughout the city. His mother says her son was selected by the United Way Campaign mainly because of his maturity. Some of his best qualities are; he is very adept at public speaking, always willing to help others and has a great sense of confidence. His instructor at Motivate Our Minds (MOMs) thinks these qualities will take him far in life. Andrew spends a large part of his free time at MOMs where he sharpens his skills rehearsing public speaking.

He also attends the Caring Arts program at the Community Civic Center, where he practices playing a trombone that was donated to him by United Way. He has been learning how to play the instrument for a year and a half. Andrew wants to become a math teacher after he completes his schooling. Andrew’s biggest hobby is playing video games that contain Hedgehog Sonics. His favorite food is cheese and sausage pizza and his favorite books are the Harry Potter series.
