Brock Allen Windsor
Brock Windsor is in the Spotlight this Week By Charles Gulubane
Brock Windsor was born April 27, 1993 in Muncie to Patty King and Phil Windsor. His father does printing for the Muncie Area Career Center and his mother works for Colony Printing in the pre-press area and also does the layout of the Muncie Times. Windsor has four brothers and one sister, Kenny Windsor, Phil Windsor, Scott Windsor, Rob King and Phyllis Hyneman. Windsor attended kindergarten at Eaton Elementary School and went to Royerton Elementary for his 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade. His favorite subject was Math and he enjoyed reading the Series of Unfortunate Events work by Lemony Snicket. He made
the A/B honor roll and also received exceptional grades on his I-STEP scores. This and an aptitude test which he took qualified him for a slot in the 4th grade challenge class at DeSoto Elementary School where he is currently in his 5th grade. Windsor’s excellent Math skills are constantly put to the test at the Math Bowl. He competes with other elementary school kids in the Math Bowl and has traveled to different schools in the region. He has two ShihTzu pet dogs that he shows around as part of his 4H club activities and has recently taken up golfing. Windsor also bowls every Saturday for the Young Alliance Bowling Congress (YABA). With his highest game being a 191.
“My mom and dad are my heroes because they take care of me and give me food and shelter,” said Windsor, who wants one day to be a lawyer or a detective. He likes watching the TV series “That's So Raven” and really enjoys pizza from Pizza Hut. “I tell him to do all he can to achieve his goals. He is cute , smart and very polite,” said his mom. She laughed when she recalled the time Windsor took to the stage with the group Cook and Bell (formally Cook and Waters) and sang the song “Fresh Off The Farm” at the Delaware County Fair last year. Windsor has two great-grandmothers and one great-grandfather along with a loving set of grandparents.
